    Default 504 colours

I have a 1979 504 I intend to respray and am looking for the colour code or name used for the tan/orange colour(s) used on 504s in the 70s. The car is "retirement beige" at the moment and I'd like to liven up the appearance a little. I realise that the colour I intend to use is probably not authentic for 1979 but no matter..

    Cheers

    Barry,
I think the colour you are referring to could be "Kalahari Tan".
I believe this colour was shared in production with Datsun.

I would go for a lighter colour, not necessarily white but Duck Egg Blue [powder blue].
Don't go for metallics, the clear coat finish deteriorates.

Trak Yellow was the orange, Sun Gold was an earlier colour, more yellow.

    Default Trak Yellow

This is Trak Yellow (covered in a layer of dirt). If you need the paint code, I can have a look under the bonnet for the Dulux label or similar.

    Cheers,

Trak Yellow is pretty similar to Safety Yellow.
