Default Dad and Daves Floride Restoration

In April 2018 we found these two Florides 22 km from home.

A price was agreed upon and we collected them.

On examination the blue one has been "Caravelle-ized" with a 956cc motor, disk brakes and repositioned radiator. The conversion was not particularly great.

The red one appeared to be a genuine 1962 Floride with a 850cc Gordini motor. This is the one we will restore first - with the aim to keep it as original as possible.

Starting to dismantle the red Floride, body looks to be rust free.
There has been an impact on the left hand front corner.

    No rust here

    Found some

Humbly suggest you shine a torch down this hole and have a look for rust in the chassis rail..
