    Default R8 restoration projectery brief

These R8ís are becoming as common as Kiaís!
Have finally managed to get a few runs out of the motor, still donít have the Thermo fans wired so have limited it to very short durations to prove everything is working ok. Alternator warning light is staying on but charging ok (Ingramís) so need to do some investigating there. Carbs will need a fair bit of sorting, but it sounds soooo nice with the Yamaha muffler. Been on it 7 years now but whoís counting!R8 restoration projectery brief-723cff0f-585b-4db1-8011-86633cf120dc.jpg

Haha, Ray! There isn’t a lot to say at this stage other than it didn’t make any horrible noises on startup!Still a long list of jobs...finishing electrics, fitting windscreens, some interior work, still need seatbelts e.t.c but would like to think by later in the year things could happen.
Btw the tacho is away being fixed at Howard’s Instruments.

Agree with COL. From the picture it looks like you have an interesting water plumbing system there. Is it a temp sensor in the heater hose?
