Default Bringing a red 504 TI back to life

    I have brought a 504 TI
One owner, 1974 red on red
It caught fire under the bonnet 10 year ago
It has a lot of damage in the engine bay and I am chasing some parts for it mainly the wiring harness.
What I have done so far
Replaced the engine wiring loom, starter, injector pump, inlet manifold, all fuel lines, plastic clutch line, fuel pump,
I still have to change the brake boster and master cylinder, rack boot, some suspension bushes, accelerator cable coolant hoses, head lights grill and remove all the grand par spec add on's
My plan is to make it mechanically reliable put it on club rego and drive as is with with burnt engine bay and enjoy it as is.
To day it finally started surprisingly it runs very well I haven't driven it yet and I couldn't run it to long as it doesn't have a radiator
But the donner injection pump and a diferent inlet Manifold and motor all run well together.
The motor didn't blow any smoke wasn't noisy so I am happy for now but there was a few times that I wanted to get rid of it.Bringing a red 504 TI back to life-img_7178.jpgBringing a red 504 TI back to life-img_7099.jpgBringing a red 504 TI back to life-img_7100.jpg

Somewhat unconventional, but a clever use of a 404 grille.

I have changed the brake boster (thanks Harry) put new rubbers in the brake master cylinder replaced a brake line that had rusted through, weather it had rusted from the fire or the extinguisher powder im not sure.
So now the brakes are Woking I could back blead the clutch, now I have a clutch.
My next job is to fit the radiator and buy a accelerator cable then the car will be drivable.
But I am still weighting on a engine bay loom, any leads would be great,

If you are really desperate you could try Pugwreck, but be warned they may not consider worthy of their time.

Otherwise, get a standard harness, (there was a 504 being wrecked in Parts for Sale) and:

1)Add the cold injector wiring (a extra wire from the Starter solenoid)

    2) And extend the alternator cables to under the engine.

For the wiring on the motor I have that sorted.
It's the headlights, indicators, horn, brake master level indicator, wipers, coolant temp circuit that I need.
I have PM'ed the 504 wrecking with no reply as yet.

I wish the best of luck.

It's good to see another TI getting put back on the road.
