    Default Mouse be gone

So, ever since I've had my ph1 205 GTi I've been plagued by a squeaky rear end. Pepe (the car's) not mine. Anyhoo, I just presumed it was a dry rear beam. After checking the end bearings and finding no play, I greased both ends of the shocks before reassembly. Et voila, my mouse has be muted and it now sounds like a classic and not just an old car. Plus, gave me a chance to look under the rear hatch sound deadener to reveal a spotless floor. Not bad for over 29 years...

Martin, no noise from beam is not a sure thing, water gets in rusts the bearings and causes grief. Not sure since I destroyed the outers but I suspect peugeot never seriously greased the bearing rollers at installation. This would go a long way to stopping the issue I found and most have.
