    It drives!

We spent the day fitting brake lines. Filling the cooling system. Running in the cams. Tidying a few loose ends etc.

Decided what the hell and drove it out onto the drive, did a few laps and everything works!

Windscreen fitting Friday and wheels speed sensors to be fitted this week. We need to raise the ride height about 2 inches or so also. Its a big milestone and the excitement has become real now. Another big thank you to all involved.

Cam running in the camshafts, running up the gearbox and giving the front brakes a workout.

I think the guys are going to feel very comfortable in the car. Very easy to drive. Didn't have to think about selecting gears, just felt natural. Brakes are responsive. Steering is nice. From the outside Cam said all he could see was my head but inside the car it doesn't feel unnatural sitting that low. No leaks and no odd noises.

Today we completed over 60 laps of Wakefield without a hiccup. The car was amazing to finally drive and we both cant wait to do it again. Our non official fasted time was 12.4 which surprised us all! Fresh set if rubber and more time in the car will be very beneficial.

Its been a long time coming and we cant thank Huw enough for giving us a car beyond our dreams.

Photos and videos to come. Ill let the Pat and Huw do that bit as I dont do computers very well!

Well done guys....12.5 is a respectable time, especially with old rubber and lack of seat time... Very proud of you guys...

    Thanks Craig

Yes it was very satisfying. The car was quicker than anticipated and I was probably full of pent up excitment. First session out was pretty ragged. There was a big oversteer moment at T9 which I enjoyed and certainly got my attention of where the limits can be. The biggest learning curve for me is the braking. I couldnt believe how deep I could brake and also how much effort was required to do so! My spindly legs are doing squats as I type! Im very sore today and its motivating me to get stronger to make the driving more enjoyable. My right glute is killing me today! Looking forward to another session soon, more time in the car (besides more tyres) is first on the list.

Buzzed all the way home in the Si with madam at the wheel. I thought I would sleep all the way but alas the buzz was too great !
