    Default grease for elec window gearbox?

    Hi can anyone help me I am fixing the electric windows & have found that the grease used in the gears has gone hard which is making the windows work slowly.any one know whick would be the correct grease to use .thanks is advance for any help.David

    Dow corning DC 4 for a Rolls Royce job and a last for ever replacement.

    Most people would use any moly based grease they have on hand.

    & graphite powder on the window channels.
    Once I thought I was wrong but, I was mistaken

    Correct! I switched to using a silicon spray on the channels. Works a treat.

    I used silicon spray on my R17 window channels and it works fine.
