Since we are all being so analytical I suspect the 59 Dauphine USA spec didn't include seat belts fitted originally.

Even RoW market Renaults didn't score seat belt anchorage points (of any sort) until the 1964 model year, when they were fitted for the front seats only.

Despite the few errors that would only disapoint a concours judge and a real Dauphine entusiast, it has been very well executed. The upholstery and trim would have taken a lot of trouble to find. I doubt new cars had positive camber I feel sure that no camber at all would have been normal when there was a full fuel tank and a driver on board. I would be proud of the end result if I had done the work. If I bought it I would get rid of the gear lever boot and the positive camber. The rest I could happily live with.

I've got a couple of Dauf windscreens to get you started.

The car is not legally on the road, as it has no French "warrant of fitness", which is very difficult to get in France for a modified car. I saw a few pictures posted of the car at a car show and it had a French version of a "canary" stuck on the windscreen. It has a modified VW beam axle in the front, and solid axle at rear supported by plumber blocks (bearings) so it can work the chain drive.

Don't know about cool, I think it would be bloody hot.
The air cooled motor might be fine hanging out the front of a motorbike where it's in the airflow but stuck in the back of a Dauphine with no apparent cooling fans or even ductwork she'd be running pretty dammed hot.

The fuel tank mounted immediately behind the front panel between the headlights might not be the idea position.

Obviously not made to be a street car.
