There was no story with this one but I'd say your summary would be spot on...under a truck.

Needs more investigation before we reach a conclusion. How come the gearstick is bent forward and the tyres aren't damaged?

Because even back in the sixties trucks weren't that low and the gearstick was probably hit a pieces of flying human.

I remember as a kid an accident near my Grandmothers place on a lonely country road, late at night a truck wa stopped at a stop sign at a cross road when all the truckie felt was a slight bump from behind and the complete undercarrage of a Mini came out in front of him and he got out to look and there was a Mini body shell wedged under his truck with a dead bloke in it.

I recon the same thing happened here only a slower speed.

Graham, as you are a Floride owner, I'm now somewhat concerned that you you have a collection of rather unfortunate images of dead Florides. Should we be concerned? Are you looking for a way out? Is there something you haven't told us?

Nothing to worry about old Chum, like most peeps I do have a dark side and it gets out sometimes, but the Prozac keeps me straight.

That ones a little out of shape isn't it. I wonder where the driver or passenger ended up, let alone the spare. Guessing they weren't trapped in it the way everyone's casually chatting away next to it. Either that or they're still inside but having a long sleep now ...
    cheers,

    John

I've seen an R10 that had a head on with a telephone pole. The pole intruded up to and bent the front of the heater scuttle. There was very little floor/bulkhead damage and the pedals were all OK. The driver left a few hairs on the mirror and had a bruised chest from the seat belt but was unharmed. I thought the Florides had the same front end?

Dont know about a truck, but a tree & a brick sructure are likely suspects!
Once I thought I was wrong but, I was mistaken

This Dauphine looks like it was fairly new before this happened...

That would have been a bumpy ride till it stopped!

The one before this wouldn't have felt a thing though I reckon; a bit like what a bug feels as it hits the windscreen at 110 km/h ....
    cheers,

    John
