Default WTD R5 Rocker Cover Bolt

Does anyone have a spare rocker cover bolt to suit the R5 (847) engine.

You'd find something else with that thread to fit with appropriate washers at the top I'd have thought, if no-one can help with the exact bolt. I've never seen one quite like it with respect to shank vs thread diameter.
    Good luck.

    Default Cover Bolt !!

    Hi Angelo,
My One in the UK and the one I am working on at the moment, have a stud in the rocker pedestals and a thumb nut on the top like normal R10/R16. They have a special washer with a locator shoulder and a gasket washer. They are in being plated at the moment, so no picture.

Any reason for the larger shank, as I can fit a HS 8.8s bolt in with the correct thread and can easily weld a 3mm washer in and use a felt gasket that will hold the rocker cover down.

    Default Bolt Shank !!

    Hi Angelo,
The shank is more than likely to locate the cover, and the length is to stop in the thread, so you do not pull it down too much.
