Looks like renault is using the Floride name again for the new Megane CC, images from Geneva 2011

So is the Floride Megane an up market version of the standard CC?

Floride is French for Florida, as most folk will know. The original Floride was aimed squarely at the US market, who loved the cute little Euro with a name they could actually pronounce with confidence. Judging by the more-than-funky trim in the pic, it seems likely that today's Renault marketeers are hoping to emulate the success of their forebears.

Though it was never known as a Floride in the US but always as a Caravelle

I'd be worried if the seats were white underneath any of my passengers backsides, Jo!
    White knuckles, Brown seats! ;-)
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............
