    Default Alpine in the paper

Sorry if this has been raised before, but I was flicking through the paper today in the carguide section and spotted a story on Alan Moore's Alpine GTA (in the Daily Telegraph but no doubt it is syndicated in other states).

A good story and interesting reading what he has in store for it!
    Well Done.

It's always good to see Renaults getting good press. ( I assume it is good!)
The Alpines and Gordini's are the hero cars of our marque. Keeping them in the public eye is a little like a mirror. It reflects well on Renaults in general and what we do as owners and as forum members.

It might also improve the re-sale value of the pedestrian Renault, let alone the RenaultSport versions.

Could you please provide a link to the article?

I've checked their website and searchd Alan Moore, Renault and Alpine with no result.

    Cheers,

    David

A brief, but good story about a Francophile with OCD.

No offence meant, as I am similarly affected

There is another to follow it has already appeared up here in Bris and in Sydney papers on Peter Kleindienst and Graham Wests cars. They both have Alpines plus a number of other Renaults.

Thanks for that link. Good article, if short (as David said).

Alan's 4CV is quite superb for those who don't know it. As well as the well-executed conversion, it is the only time I've seen big mags on a rear engined Renault that actually look good and in keeping with the car.

    Cheers

That damn flexable engine sounds like a worry.
Sort of reminds me of a model aeroplane I had as a kid.

Hope Alan gets it sorted soon.

The original story in the Courier Mail was a little different to the Sydney Telegraph one. The main reason for the story was to advertise the 40th Anniversary Dinner for Renault Car Club of QLD and had only 3 photos.

Also I had asked for the Courier story that any photo of me to be basically so small as to be unrecognisable, which they did, but the Telegraph photos are a bit too revealing to be unleashed on an unsuspecting public.
