I always thought an R12 motor and switch did the trick? Or, get our american friends on the case as 2sp wipers were part of the US spec cars (along with dual circuit brakes).

Not sure if it was me or not Peter?
I have two speed wipers fitted to my R10. It is an R12 motor and switch as the previous poster mentioned.
The install is pretty simple, the hardest part is modifying an adapter to connect the R12 motor to the R10 arms.

I'll try to see what I can dig out photo-wise over the next few days depending on how my xmas shopping goes, otherwise next week when I'm off work.

    Thanks KB
Did you use the r12 loom between switch and motor or just ad the extra wires to your r10 loom? Cheers Peter.

Just ran some extra wires across and into the dash area. You can see the aftermarket Plug I've added in the motor photo. Somewhere I had the wiring diagram written down, but that was back in 2001/02 or something so I'd have to dig for that.

The holes in the plate are four outside holes to mount the plate over the top of the existing motor mounting bracket; larger centre hole for the spindle to go through, then three holes to bolt the R12 motor to the plate. I even have a template for that made out of wood, but not sure how to digitise that for posting.
    cheers
