    Default Racing R8

Pinched this pic from g'only knows where on the net - it is titled martini- corniche 71. Looking at the hay bale armco the date seems about right.

Given the palms in the background Ron, it must be Beaconsfield Parade around Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron? Oh, and you've printed the photo back to front! Just a thought......

Don't think its back to front just think they are left hand drive cars and not in oz by the look at the number plates.

    Default More racing R8's

    Hi Ron,
I have taken the liberty and posted this picture on your thread,

This looks like Kyalami on the Old Clubhouse bend.

It is wrongly described as "Gordini" because both are R8. It is quite nice to study the old cars in the background as well.

    Regards,
    Frans.

I was being deliberately dim! However did the original R8 1100 Gordinis have four headlights? I know that the R8S had them but that was a marketing thing after 1300 Gordinis.... Oh! and Berridale if you think the camber angles are "upset" I don't think you should take your foot off the throttle right now~!

    Default R8 at Kyalami !!!

    Very right Frans.

Note the numberplates, sequential, if I am not mistaken these are the cars run by Alconi. ??

I speak from experience, it is probably the tyres just about to come off the rim.....I hope they were safety rims or he had tubes in those wheels!

No, the R1134 had only two headlights.
