Does anyone know the difference between a 352-56 gearbox and the 352-20 for an R12?

A 352-20 is from a 1970-74 AUS spec R12 R1170. The 352-56 is a 12XL (AUS mid 1976 revision) R1177 gearbox with revised ratios, lower first gear etc. If you need further more specific info let us know.

Thanks Simon. I've got a -20 box in my shed, and the one in the car is a -56, which makes sense as my 12 is a 1976 model. Just wondered what the difference was...

    Cheers

Simon, I wonder if you could advise me of any differences between a 352-32 and a 352-62 gearbox?

    Cheers,

A 352-32 is from a 1974-75 AUS spec R12 R1177. The 352-62 is a 12 1.4/Virage R1179 gearbox with revised ratios, lower first gear etc. If you need further more specific info let us know.

Hi Simon, thanks for your info. Could you please advise what the ratios and final drive are for the 352-60, I have this info for the 352-32.

    Cheers,
