Hence the need for the doors, it allows the owner, Phat Boy Slim, easy entry and egress in tight carpark spaces…..

Unlss that parking space has a roof over it, in which case he'll have to fit through the 6" gap under the door edge, or leave via the boot.

I would pay to see that happen.

For sure, especially considering that the boot is actually under the bonnet!

Unless he's filled the area over the engine cover with speakers, the tailgate still functions and he has a way out. Of course, he looks a little girthy to make that crawl, might need some vaseline.

These things don't have a ski-flap going into the bonnet do they?

I reckon it'd be a tight squeeze between the seats, followed by the question of whether the engine cover would support the weight and culminating in the problem of opening the hatch from inside the car :-)

They just found that it was cheaper to hire this dude to sit in the car than get it lowered after all the money was spent on the doors & subs. That way it's still legal height.

I think they have been cheap all the way, it's not even a V6, the seat didn't look right to me. Note location of fuel filler......

    And the real thing

I dont think you should worry too much about the engine size.
If that guy fits there properly, a truck engine wont be a problem at all.

I just wonder why its become such a crime for someone to modify his car how he likes? Looks fine to me.

Yep, I reckon it looks good too, it may not be practicle, but people don't modify to be practicle!
My kids love it and they are the future, you have been warned!

If you had a head on accident, I wonder if the doors would pop up during the impact.. (or pop up and fall right off?)

Well there are TUV approved off the shelf door conversions like for a lot of cars these days so shouldnt be a safety issue.
