    Default R8_12 electronic distributor.

G/DAY all if anyone is interested I've modified a bosch electronic dissy to fit the 1298cc in my R10.
It works a treat and was a hell of a lot cheaper than the conversion kits.
It started out as a mitsubishi magna unit which we did a bit of machinework to. If anyone wants to know anymore let me know only to happy to oblidge

That is the kind of mod worth posting in the technical and performance forum - in great detail.

Sounds like a top bit of work.

How do the advance curves vary from the Renault dizzy to the Magna dizzy? I gather these would have to be set-up too? Or do they coincidently match?

    Hi Simon,

Totally off topic, but how would this particular development fit in to your Renault genealogy...the 21 is the French Magna...so can there be two or is this some kind of metaphorical stem cell arrangement?
