    Default Mégane II Phase II images

    Here are the new images of the Phase II Mégane in Berline, Coupé and Saloon. Whats new: 150hp 2.0 dCi, 1.9dCi is upped to 130hp, and the existing 85 and 105hp 1.5 dCi added to the range. Petrol engines include: 1.4 100hp, 1.6 110hp, 2.0 135hp, 2.0T 165hp, 2.0T 225hp. All versions have v8.0 ABS and EBD. Up to 10 airbags depending on body type. New grille, foglamps moved outwards, rear lights different, new rear bumper (not on RS). New interior colours. Various other enhancements to navigation, windscreen wipers, climate control, etc.

    Might take me a while to get used to the new taillights with the contured lens...

    I don't like the big black bumper/grill combo, it looks like it's smiling, but has no teeth! A bit reminiscent of Peugeot's new fish mouth look!

    For sure, coloured bumpers have that problem, but I'm not sure that the Megane bumper would be cheaper. If it's constructed the same way as mine, the black portion is a seperate, replaceable plastic moulding that is fixed to the painted section (thereby allowing light damage to be repaired by simply replacing the black bit)

    A one-piece painted bumper would theoretically be cheaper - one part, no assembly required.

    I suppose one could paint the black inserts, like the first example pictures above.
