Icon6 R12 Gear shift reverse lock out block thingy

Can't get any more technically specific than the title...

I need one o' them things for my old stager. I noticed a 'clacky' gear shift, and when I got under, the plastic bit had gone from the steel backing - the thing that locks out reverse

Can you still get them anywhere? Has anyone got one?

    Default That Thingy

    Hi Stuey

I know that thingy you're talking about. The one on my car is in sad shape too. Pity I didn't souvenir a spare off a car I wrecked a couple of years ago!

Interested to see what turns up.

Typical, I was just at Pick-A-Part today as well, two 12's which were likely donors!

Is it possible to araldite something onto the edge in the meantime?

Back in the late 90s I got 2 reverse lockout (or detent?) plates from Ken at Caravelle. Remember trying to explain to him over the phone what I wanted. Don't know if he would still have them but worth a try. The bolt holes are slotted so you can adjust the position of the plate to ensure you don't select reverse.

Why doesn't any one ask me??

I've got these things in stock, brand new, clean and shinny, there isn't much for an R12 I don't have.
