    Default Dodge Shelby charger

If i'm not mistaken Dodge had a version of the Daytona pictured called a Shelby Charger. White body with blue stripes. 2.2 litre turbo .Got a scale model of one here somewhere i think. As for copying the Fuego design!!! NOT LIKELY!

It is a Fuego!!!! Chrysler had a deal with Renault-same mechanicals and the Shelby version is same car.

Don't try and distort history. It isn't a Fuego. Just dug through the old Observers books, and the Dodge Daytona predates the AMC/Renault purchase by Chrysler in 1988 by being introduced in 1984. The Shelby Z was introduced in 1987 with a "Turbo II" motor (the motor designation being as close as it would get to a Renault :-))

    The Daytona is powered by a transverse 2.2 litre (2,212cc, 87.5mm x 92mm stroke)motor.

Here we go, even the Web agrees :-)
