    Default Introducing My Megane Cup

I spent most of Sunday polishing the car .... just to get up and see it had been raining outside ...........

So i dogged every puddle of water .... and made it to work without it getting dirty ...

This is the resullt of my handy work .

Very hot!! Wheels are brilliant!! You wouldn't have to clean the brake dust of them too often... the colour is awesome.

Looks like the car is in semi rural setting, good driving roads around there? ...

    Default Congrats Dom

The more I see the Megane the more I like it. It reminds me of the clear and unmistakeable statement that the Renault 5 made before it. Your car looks magic and the photos are brilliant. Go on, get it dirty!

Well, Dr, I've driven my brother's Cup now, and that would have to be one of the best packages currently available on sale. I absolutely love it.

Power, style, practicality, comfort, sheer horn value...did I mention power?

I didn't push the handling, and my bro reckons he can feel that it's not in the top echelons of chassis, but still, as a comfortable, fast, well equipped sports sedan it's an absolute corker. That understated gruffness of a sound is just right. I wouldn't change a thing in the car (except my undies).

I saw a normal 225 in orange and loved it, but i must admit the techno grey is better. Goes really well with the anthracite alloys.

I had to be reminded that...errr...you're doing 130km/h and this is a 60 zone...

Whoever it was that wanted to change the tyres needs help. Those tyres stick like **** to a blanket.

Man, that car is a damn Megane Maxi. And I'm not talking Austin 1800.

    Brilliant. Good one Renault.

hehehehe Stuey ..and to think that it actually gets better the more kms you put on it (the note gets deeper & it opens up even more

my only complaint with it on the training day, was that I never got it past 3rd gear, due to the fact that I was in Vic not the NT!!! (technically, I never should have had it out of 2nd! ) hehehhe oops!

and as for the tyres..I agree..they didn't even squeal let alone slip doing 80 in 2nd on the inside lane of a particular roundabout (and it wasn't an overly big one ) ...now you all know why I can't have one!
It's definately the car for the family man who sometimes likes to forget he's a family man

I was maintaining my 'Proud 225 Owner' status in spite of the existence of the Cup, but now that I've seen those sexy, sexy mags I just can't keep up the facade. I'm so jealous. So very, very jealous. Only three months old and I already want to upgrade the thing. =(

    dom,

you got the spare wheel right? where did you place the jack?

i got the 18in cup wheels, it fits (although i might have to put some sort of carpeting under the wheel as I hear rattles at low speed/take off) fine but there's no room for the jack!

i haven't looked closely yet, just picked it up this morning and getting it paint "protected" and leather protection applied at my local detailer.

    any thoughts welcome.
