Default Red Dauphine Gordini - "GORDNI"

So who owns the lovely red Dauphine Gordini I spotted in Lilydale this evening? First time I've even seen one! They are a gorgeous little jigger! Whoever owns it, that's a beautiful car in beautiful condition.

I saw it parked on the side of the road in the residential area off Maroondah Hwy, sort of between Chirnside Park and Lilydale. Must be owned by a frogger?!

Those are the correct photo's but the owner/restorer is from the Geelong area. The car won best 1960's model at the Round Up and I dare say he was driving back home...

Lovely Dauphine, puts mine to shame, mine will only ever be a track car.

That is a beautiful car. Has it been lowered(all around), or is it my imagination?

If it is gorgeous, red and from SA, it may well be the car that the late Bruce Porter owned in Adelaide when he died (about 15 years ago). I was sore tempted to pair it up with my red R8.

Bruce deserves credit for being one of the movers behind formation of Club Automobile Francais, which is still going strong.

    Simon may know.....

Wow, a blast from the past with this thread coming back again. Small world. Thanks for resurrecting this post.

I remember the car from the 1980s in Adelaide. Very original then. If he hasn't already joined, it's a car we'd welcome in the Renault 4CV Register of Australia (see http://www.4cvregisteraustralia.org/ ).

Fantastic to see that the car is still around. So is Club Automobile Francais in Adelaide, so let's remember Bruce's efforts back then.

    Cheers
