    Default Renault 19 RT ???

I just purchased the above car mainly because it was "there".
I presume it is the economy model, as it is no fire breather.
Does anyone know anything about the beast? Where is one being wrecked? as I need a few "bits" that have gone missing or are broken.
    A manual would be nice.
    Thanks,
    Sherman

It was actually the top of the range in it's day I think. We've got a '94 model Auto (Aegean Blue - which is a metallic Blue colour). Ours is the last of the 1.7L, the following year which I think was the last year they were sold in aus on a full time basis, they were 1.8L and I think that's when they reverted to names instead of letters (eg Alize).

Ours has power windows in the front, power steering, air con (which doesn't work) and fog lights in the front spoiler. One of the good features of it is that it can be very quick off the mark from the lights, cause if you floor the auto it doesn't spin the tyres, it just bites and goes. Mind you, it doesn't take long for the other traffic to leave you standing. They are a good car, but need to be properly maintained - particularly the electrics and transmissions in the autos.

As ours was a one owner, we have the drivers handbooks etc, and I bought a haynes type manual as well. So any basic questions I may be able to answer from that if required if yours is the same model.

I had an auto chamade sedan for 3 years and loved it. They do have to be maintained properly by someone who knows what they are doing.

    Crikey Sherman,

My how the mighty have fallen!

I thought you would be in charge of the world's largest remaining stable of R20's by now. Instead there you are counting backwards.

God forbid that Rocky or the Moose hear about this.

That wouldn't be David Collier by any chance Daniel?

A bit of trip for Sherman for the odd 5000km service.

Now wait a minute, I still have the 20s, the 10s and the 17s. the little blighter appears to be "tres economique" (sorry about that any real frogs reading this). I will post further reports as I bring the 19 up to "scratch".
