For the last two days,I've been very aprehensive about the blue slip inspection required to change the records RE; an engine swap.
I was imagining a worst case scenario where the inspector defects the car for not having an engineers report on the EFI,bigger brakes,after market exhaust,etc, but luckilly it all slipped through un-noticed.Glad I chose the factory inlet with renault injection stamped on it!I had a hard time convincing the RTA that there was no reciept for the work, as I'd done it myself,and they were not amused when I pulled out my reciept book and offered to provide myself with one.In the end they made me sign a letter that stated that I was the owner of both engines,and that I had disposed of the car in a legal manner.Its good to know I'm up to spec ,legaly again.
