    Rear engined turbo5 for sale

    Hi guys,
I've just found out about a rear engined 5 (genuine) for sale for NZ$5000, and apparently 90% complete!! When I have more details I'll post it. The ad says 240hp, is this right? Also could the mechanicals fit in a std five body or (like most things) are there too many differences for it to be worth it?

The front drive Turbo put out 110 bhp; the rear drive Turbo II put out 165 bhp (standard). But they can be modded pretty wildly - the R5 Maxi put out 400 bhp from 1527cc...

Only minor parts will interchange - practically none of the running gear will. Of course, you could run around with the rear wheels poking outside the guards by 20cm

    Hey,
thought as much as far as none of the parts crossing over, also it turns out it's not a replica!! It says in the ad that it is a replica with a fabricated chassis etc and fully modified motor. I guess the important bit is whether or not its a fabbed chassis or a butchered one! A friend of mine is probably gonna ring them up so it'll be interesting to see how they did it, if it hasn't already sold....

    Cheers Ben
