Hi Frans ( and Ray and others) - this is nothing to do with your repair as such - just a snippet from your old cabbage patch - the Gordini and friends get-together in George ( near Cape Town) this weekend , regards, Carvel Two new racecars in NZ-whatsapp-image-2018-02-10-08.20.07.jpgTwo new racecars in NZ-whatsapp-image-2018-02-10-08.20.08.jpgTwo new racecars in NZ-whatsapp-image-2018-02-10-08.20.09.jpeg

    Hi Carvel,
It was always great to see a good collection of 4-light R8s and other Renault Classics in the Cape. PE used to have a good collection too. By the time we got to the Cape we were 16TS owners, but the RERs were always my favorite. The "Orange" car looks good.

    Thanks for the pictures,
    Ray

A while ago I got a new camera for racing videos. I thought I would try it out and went for a casual drive in the neighborhood to see what the picture looks like. So take a drive with me in the blue job.

This is what came out of it, no action, although it shows clearly how responsive the motor is. Following the time stamp on the video you will see that at 14:34:19 I floored it in 2nd gear and with the locked diff spinning both the wheels instantly. The same at 14:38:04 and 14:38:20 it does the same in 3rd. At 14:40:13 I just hooned into the drive way.

I realise that it is wet and with normal road tyres, but still you will get an idea of what I mean. Very happy at the moment.
