Default The biggest Renault badge I have ever seen on a vehicle!

It was on a truck, honestly around 30cm tall!

There was also a M A C K above it though? That confused me a bit...

We do have Renault Trucks, they are/were re-bedged as Macks for years, and these days you see more and more wearing the two badges. I wonder if they are on an education programme, let us know Mack=Renault, then do away with Mack all-together. One of those badges would make a nice centre piece for a Trophy on a French Car day for best renault

It must have been a long time ago. The Renault/Mack truck division was sold off to Volvo back in 2000.

Not quite correct. Renault Vehicles Industriale owns all of MACK trucks (I guess it was left over from the US AMC debarcle of the 1980s). RVI bacame part of Volvo trucks in exchange for 25% of the new enlarged company. In other words Renault is the biggest shareholder in one of the largest truck company in the world! Interestingly, Nissan Diesel trucks were never part of RVI and was sold off this year.

I was working in Spain in 2001, and in my travels, the very large Renault diamond was seen on the most common make of prime mover on all the trucks. The next most popular brand was IVECO, then Volvos etc.

Renault busses are also common, and I believe that a fleet (not sure how many) exists here in Canberra and Perth.

Many years ago, the largest example of the Renault diamond here in Australia was on the Estafette vans.

    Cheers,
    Kim.

I, dead set fair dinkum, have seen the very same thing on a truck in Ballina several times only without the M A C K badging above - just a freaking massively massive Renault diamond.

Very impressive and yes at least a foot tall.

Yep, we have got heaps of Green Renault buses on the roads in Perth. Which isnt a good thing when you own a green Megane! I have had a few "just like the bus" jibes! Good thing is I have managed to get a Renault sign from one of the buses which is about 60cm long & 10cm tall for my Froggy bits collection!
