I'll rent it and drive it for you. Ken (previous owner) drove it more than not I think. Drive it and shame a few ricers every day.

Icon14 Drive it if you dare!!!!!

I lived in Italy in '85 when the Renault 5 turbo, Golf GTI, Pug gti and Fiat Uno Turbo were kings.

Many lost their lives in them because of high speed accidents, as not many knew how powerful their engines were.
My last recolection of a Renault 5 Turbo was looking at one at the bottom of the "Giardini Naxos" port (Sicily), right next to my Aunties restaurant, where the driver had only owned it for a couple of days but lost control on the slippery cobblestones and in the drink he went ....C'est la vie!!!

    Drive it! Don't hide it!

    Ciao

    Default Bargin..5RT2

This'd be a bargin buy, needs a fix-up but still a great purchase.
Even if it reaches $6000 AU, $3000 freight, customs and GST, easily below $12000? (Alan M will know right $)

With about an hour to go the R5 T2 on Ebay (RHD converted)is at
$10 000AUD, which is still very cheap. My guess is that it will reach around 5500 pounds (approx $24000 AUD landed, tax paid) I have talked to the guy, and thought seriously about it, but another toy would be excessive given my finances, and space. As it is my 4CV already lives across the road at a friends' place.

    Maybe another bike.

It sold for 4100 Pounds. I really should have bid on it, but lately I seem to be the second highest bidder on everything from cars and car parts, car and bike manuals and brochures, to wrist watches.

I only seem to push the price up. There always seems to be someone keener to spend their money, than me.

Hind sight is always a good thing!
Would have been ideal for next years Targa
I'd sell my 10(even 2 of the kids) to find space for it, in return for a drive a week
