    Hello!

On the 30th April 2005 an amazing Renault and Fiat classic car auction will be staged near Warragul, Victoria, Australia.

With a total (so far) of 55 classic cars, 17 of which are Renaults, it should be an awesome day.

Please visit www.fiatrenault.com for more information and to register for location details closer to the date of auction.

A special thank you to Paul James Design, Warragul for kindly providing their web design services free of charge.

It is a very nice site! A shame the same cannot be said of the cars, some of which look like they would have been quite reasonable when first acquired. No doubt they will be able to provide some parts to keep others going, or a good exercise in mechanics and body repairs for their new owners!

Agreed! I bought three Fiat 500C Belvederes some years ago, in better
nick than the ones pictured here and it cost me the grand sum of $150.
I've since passed them on to a better home for nix as I couldn't see
myself fixing them up but at least they got saved from the crusher

Of the FIATs those Multiplas may be the only ones to generate any real
    interest.

    cheers,

    Hi Hong Kong,

Its not all about the money it's about the event and a collection together in one location.

I expect there will be a few 4CV people in Melbourne that would be very interested in the cars at the auction. Body panels and bumpers are fairly thin on the ground for 4CVs, and the Dauphine Gordini motor and gearbox combination goes very well into one as well, doubling the horsepower and giving an extra gear with a more usable final drive ratio for touring.

It is surprising to see that many in one place, bar our 4CV musters at Easter.
This year at Casino in northern NSW.

Alan, what is the 4CV muster at Casino all about. It's just that I'll be in town and I'd love to have a look at the cars.

    Kermit,
The HQ will be the Clydesdale Motel on the corner of Johnston and Kent Sts on the left as you come in to town from Lismore.

    Friday Get together and BBQ
Sat Day run to Tabulum. 1030 start Lookout and a visit to a guy that
makes art out of car parts.
Sun Another run to a winery and various other attractions. Mini Swap
    Meet

    So far I think 19 4CVs, 3 Dauphines, 2 Florides, 1 R10, 2 Lagunas,

    1 Alpine A610

Cars will be from as far as Cairns, Melbourne and Adelaide.

I am not one of the organisers, and as such don't have a full listing of activities.

Which of those 500s is the model that I always see in Targa Tassie (also in The Castle of Cagliostro - Japanese anime film)?

Do you mean it's a Nova 500D with a 600 in it or is it a 600 model?

A 600 Abarth replica is what I'd put my money on.

Yeah thanks Kermit. Did a bit of web search and realised it was probably the 600 Abarth:

    Tasty.

Although some of the 500s are pretty nice:
