The Spider is on display out the front of the Melbourne Motor Show - the girlfriend had to physically drag me away after 5 minutes of drooling! It is a *seriously* good looking 7-year old car.

Big price for something that would get nailed by an Elise, S2000 or Boxster though. But, oh, the way it looks!!

pugjet, I didn't see a GTT but that may just been because I was dragged out the door - you may be right! If there is, I'd love to and have a look!!

A Spyder would be great, and it'd be even better with a Clio 182 cup engine, or may-be Megane 225 transplant. Then it'd be very competitive

hey jerms, if you wanna see a gtt in the flesh, just rock up to alpine affair in ringwood - colin's got one sitting in the showroom with a price tag of (i think) 39990.

yah, i guess youd buy a spider for the cache of it all. there are are cars that go harder, and are probably better packaged, but hey i wouldnt say no to one.

that cars the ex renee rifkin car.

You might find the car at alpine affair is a R5 Turbo (Mid engined rear wheel drive) as a posed to a R5 GT Turbo which is a later R5/Super 5 (Front engined front wheel drive). 5 turbo1 and 2 owners might get a touch upset at referring to their cars as GTT's! Still GTT are sweet cars and i'd be more than happy with one!

my thoughts exactly - but sticking a new engine in can be a hell of a complex project... but it can also be easy sometimes - a 1.5ltr Honda Jazz engine drops straight into the bay of a Morris 1100 - made it dynamic, but not really.
