Default Eddie Everything cash for comment?

Or just some informal market research......

Just channel surfing on the TV here and glanced the question on Eddie's Millionaire show. The question for $125,000 is, "Name the European carmaker that owns almost half of Nissan" choices being: Volvo, Renault, Volkswagen, Fiat.

The punter had no idea, decided to take the $125,000 cash for Eddies sig. Eddie then gushes on. "The answer is Renault, ones of the worlds' largest car makers. Just think mate, everytime you see a Renault you will remember the money you've got......."

I was jumping up and down at that question - I think just about everyone here would have known the answer.

However just having checked the Collingwood website it appears that Renault dont sponsor them... It's Lexus. So next time you see a question along the lines of: Which car maker sells tarted up camry's for a greatly inflated price? You'll know the answer and it's link's to Eddie.
Murray : And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!
James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

I was wondering if the program was a repeat or something, knowing that Renault no longer sponsored Collingwood. Perhaps Eddie just pines for his old Laguna rather than his Lexus..... :-)

Could you imagine anything WORSE than a repeat of an episode of "Who wants to be a brain dead mindless idiot?" It's bad enough in the first place without a repeat.

Remember the good old days when Tony Barber used to whip through a few dozen questions, run a reverse auction, chat up a tart then give away some prizes and all in the space of 30 mins (well 22 actually). My god, the man must have been on speed, caffeine and who knows what else!
