Hello Cor - welcome to Aussiefrogs. Good luck with your R16 collection, they were a highly regarded vehicle here in Australia.

    cheers

1500 R16s in Holland? Goodness me that's great. Also, I love how you guys keep old pushbikes on the road too. Bicycles from the 1930s are everywhere and they look way cool Alas, I'd suspect there's only a handful of 16s left on the roads in Australia now. But like I said, they were much loved here and highly respected too.

I didn't see any in France and I travelled extensively there for about 3 months. Saw heaps of R4s and Citroen Visas though, still in daily working use.

    Cool bananas Cor!
The 16 was a damn fine car, and many members here have had or been associated with more than one.
There are probably more here in Oz than we realise but I think people have put them away and are starting to only drive them on sunny days.
So hopefully there is someone out there with something you might not have (maybe).
    cheers

    Default R16's

You are right there are a few 16's that do not come out very often. I drive one every day and have one on Club rego but have another 6 in storage along with heaps of panels and parts.

My son Mikee, has a 16TS in the throes of restoration and his fiancee Amanda drives one daily.

In Melbourne I would see one about every month still being used as daily drivers.
    Happy Sixteening ... John E

My car drives also only with sunny days or when he goes to a Renault meeting with a little bit rain.
here in the Netherlands is the 1500 pieces wat we know but the most driver have also more than one.
My brother have had 6 off them GLS, TS, TL, TL automatic, TX and TX automatic and his garage was compleet full of R 16 parts ( also two good R 16 boddys )

My car gets this year one new motor, becouse one bold goes in the cilinderhous and make great dammage.
I complete motor is verry verry rear to find.
I find it by a verry good R16 frend of mine.
He bought it in Germany at a company who only put the motor for the show in
    the entrace Hall.
So he never run, but a original motor for a type 1150.
    Price verry expensive € 2500,00

    see for photo
    Look special to the front.
The holes under the bumpers are not like the later R16
Insite Motor parts and interieur have also parts from a R8
