Default Wiper switch swap for Gordini

Due to the fact that my variable wiper switch keeps braking the stalk off on my 17 Gordini, I have tried to fit a 2 speed off a TL. The connections on the back appear to be the same but when used they keep blowing fuses. I have tried 2 and both do this.

Anyone have experience with these that can tell me why or how I can fit the 2 speed?

Better yet anyone have a good variable switch that they don't want?

The 17G has a relay in there for the delay mechanism, as well as the variable speed control part, which the 17TL doesn't have so it may require a bit of bypassing to make the two speed switch work.

Been there, tried that, doesn't work.

To successfully "glue" your stalk, fibreglass resin is a great way to go.

You could also investigate a hi-temp glues (Loctite may have something appropriate) - normal household glues (ie. Araldite) are OK but only up till about 40 degrees or so when they go soft, and the stalk falls off!

Thanks guys, I have tried good glue. I may have to look into the resin.
