My offspring has purchased a 1.4 ltr 2002 clio. The dealer instruction was to turn ignition key, wait for a light on the dash to go out and then start the engine. This will increase the life of the ignition coils. However one of the coils failed at 39000 klm. Is this a common problem? There is a form of conduit over the low tension wires to the plug coils and has rubbed the wire insulation thin. Is this also common ? Are there any strange things with the Clio that should be fixed by the dealer before the warranty runs out ? Nice car but not as much room as my dear old R20TS.
