    Default Brake Fluid

    Hey all,

This may be a silly question, but does anyone know where the brake fluid filler bottle is on the clio sport? In the manual it is meant to be between the coolant and power steering bottles. Is this right? Or will I need to go to Renault to have it topped?

it is located under the engine cover, thus the engine cover must be taken off to get to it!

    Icon6 Not a silly question!

I've been having the same problem. Was running out of front brakes by the end of a track day. Bought some aftermarket pads (QH) and had the rotors skimmed. Problem 1: had to grind the ends of the pad backing plates a little to make them fit. Problem 2: need to retract the pistons, so where's the fluid reservoir? NOT where the manual says (and probably is on lesser Clios). It's on the right side rear of the engine bay, only accessible with plastic engine cover removed. Hope you've got the necessary Torx bolt key!

Impressive engineering on the part of Renaultsport to do a proper RHD conversion of the brake master cylinder, but pretty dodgy manual writing. Wonder if there's a proper service manual for RHD Clio Sports (maybe from the UK. Twin piston front calipers would be nice too!
