Icon10 RSC (Flame red)added to the Family

I am very pleased to anounce the adoption of a Flame Red 172 RSC to my car family. 28 months old has had a reasnably caring owner and has low Ks 27700. and very pleased the price.
The Clio shares the garage with the 205 ,Khamsin and my wifes (HONDA)
Very impresed with the Clio afew things for the dealer to sort before the end of warranty.

I didn't get a chance to go look at it.. I spoke to the guy selling it, thats about it, looked pretty tidy from the photo. It was very cheap, low km's.

    Enjoy the car Graeme

    Congrats on the purchase
Flame red is probably the colour I like least but you don't look at it from the drivers seat - which is the place to be - and if the cars right the colour doesn't matter

I agree but maybe it was fate I have this is my SEVENTH red car.
The garage is red all 4 of them at this point in time.
It is growing on me and one thing with this colour is that the base coat is white and marks are less noticeable. For that matter silver would be best.

I have some the kit is two part one for the colour and the other for the clear.

All seriousness at the end of the day the condition of a car sells it and we all sell cars eventually. Just ask the guys cars that are still tring to sell CLIO's at Similar prices and poor condition even just two years old.

i had to get a touch up kit for a mild scratch under the door. the dealer brought in a spray can set for paint and lacquer first. then swapped it for a touch up bottle with brush applicator later on. the lacquer is impossible to apply without making a mess of it, so it has not been used, just the paint only.

Default END of warranty is nearly hear with 99% clean bill of health

I have now had the RCS for 7 months and done 7,000.K total 35,000.
    and just love the thing.
I will be Buying the extended warranty fo time . The only fault found is the classic TDC sensor wiring which is being sorted today. I have no idea what effect this has to cause the car to not start first crank cold so if any ones Knows Id love to know.

nice follow up and long-term drive opinion.

The whole forum is waiting with baited breath to hear my much anticipated One Year Review comming up on the 14th of Feb. (I am so full of myself)

Ive been watching a lot of topgear lately, so ill present it in a sort of top gear review, but in long term, not just a squiz on the looks and a track blat. Try to include alot of british humor, dry turns of wit and incredibly unfathomable superlatives.

love the pic too. One of the truly great mass transportation devices of the 21st centry. It was probably the most important engineering accomplishment of our time, and was able to offer people an exceedingly fast, reliable and relaxing method to get from A to B... and in the back ground, a large aircraft!
