    looking for a mechanic who understands renaults from the 1960's....might need some work done to a renault 4 im thinking of buying...cheers

    Ta...just like a 2CV only crunchie...its a risk...needs tlc but think its a risk worth taking....unless someone has a R4 already road going and wanting to sell??

    IMHO they are a much better car than a 2CV, which is not to knock the 2CV, but they are a generation newer in design, post-dating the issue of getting French peasant farmers up from the horse and cart era. Fairly successful, 8 million of them being made...
