    Default Scenic RX4 window mechanisms

It is a 2002 model that needs the rear window winder mechanisms replaced. Bought the car for "not much money" so hopefully these can be located somewhere and the car can be put back on the road.
How would I go about getting a workshop manual ?
Help would be appreciated as this "modern" car is very differant to what we're used to.

Try Ebay and see if any of these look like yours.

You tube has full videos of this process (unfortunately a common occurrence on Renaults). It may only need the electronic thing that each window has. Generics available on Ebay. if it needs the regulator ( ie frame and cables) its not an easy job but doable following the videos but regulator assembly could be exccy. Ring French Connection?

What usually kills the Scenic electric windows is not a failure of the motor or winding mechanism, but the disintegration of a small plastic part which is responsible for transmitting the up-down motion to the glass. I researched the part in Europe and they cost around 4-5 Euros each. I traded the RX4 on the Koleos thus fixing the problem..........

Ditto what Kim Luck said, the plastic clips that attach the mechanism to the glass break often but are cheap and readily available through Ebay etc. The rest of the window winder mechanism is pretty reliable as they don't use cables that break and are simple electronically.
The 4WD and 2WD window mechanisms are the same and, for a Renault, aren't too hard to remove.
I have a MR313 manual that shows the window removal procedure if you want to send me a PM with your email I can forward it to you.
The quality isn't fantastic but it's legible.

    Cheers

Thankyou for the great feedback and Pugwash, I might take you up on your offer. My mate is taking the mechanisms out so I'll see where he is at. Be great if we can get them working.
