    Default instrument cluster

Can anyone tell me how to remove the instrument unit ( cluster ) from a 20TS? The w/shop manual
    doesn't say much.

Probably the same as a Fuego. There are two Phillips head screws at the bottom of each corner and you remove them. You carefully lift up the whole instrument panel and remove the connections to the instrument panel and then the connections switches for hazard warning lights, fog lights, rear wiper, driving lights etc. Then remove the connections to the instruments - tacho, fuel/oil level gauges and the cable from the speedo (very carefully as prone to break). I might have the order of removal wrong but you should be able to work it out.
