Default Espace at Centre Rd Wreckers in Clayton!!

Was checking their stock online and noticed an Espace! RHD, bit of a bingle in the front.

    Worth saving perhaps?

Aha. Looks nice but needs those front panels. Ex-Europe is the only option I imagine. I wish I needed or could accommodate an Espace…...

I think it would be nicer than a Scenic to drive and larger cargo space.

Iím in Canberra- so someone get down there and nab it. If itís still there over Easter i may be tempted to get it - although trucking to Canberra will be a pain.

So they said theyíd want a decent offer to make it worth their while as there is a lot of paperwork involved - any car thatís gone in there victoads has been notified about so itís a pain reversing that...

Apparently itís been there for several months so maybe itís a bit stripped now - although there cant be too much on it that a non Espace owner would want...

If you are able to negotiate a purchase over the phone, I could hire a trailer, pick it up and store it for a week or two until you can come and get it...

Default Espace at Centre Rd Wreckers in Clayton!!

Well, thatís a pretty awesome offer! Cheers

But it depends if itís half stripped or not... Iíd at least need a Renault literate someone to eyeball the thing and see if itís Fubar or not

Mainfreight Transport is across the road and as long as it "forkable" ie on a pallet set up they can ship to their Canberra depot.
A phone call in cases like this works far better than an e-mail.

Nah, itís been there since last August. If itís still worth rescuing after that long, it can wait a couple of weeks until Iím down there.

Iím tempted by it for a travelling car - plan A has been to get a newish Kangoo (geez I wish I could get a Maxi in petrol...) or a Caddy (which I can get in petrol as a Maxi).

There was one of these mentioned on here before the crash, for sale down mornington way but from memory it was in a sad state ,you may find that the front skirt and lights have been thrown in the back ,and the bonnet is fixable for someone with the talent and time ,strange that someone has tried to remove the rubber strip from around the windscreen ,,they dont have kias down there do they ,pugs,

I was thinking to save it and went to check the condition last Sep. But it's looks too much work needed...
It has an old AUTO PARIS sticker on the back.

    Here is the detail info.
    VIN: VF8JE0A0217292998
    Eng.
    F3R769 / AD4 032 (4sp. Auto)
    DOM: DEC. 1997
    Paint code:
    TEI45

The Espace III was the last MATRA built Espace sad to see it in the wreckers...

I was vaguely hoping it would be a V6. An F3R in a car that big would be "leisurely"... Thats essentially an R19 drivetrain!

Not only that, an R19 AUTO drivetrain!

The F3R is 2.0L so more like Megane 1 (not in AUS.), Scenic or Laguna 1 drivetrain.

A good candidate for an RS Megane 275 transplant, or a repro Megane F1......

Itís a decent engine, owned one for a while in a Laguna 1. Mine was a manual though...

Was good in the Lag, but no powerhouse. An Espace 3 would have to have the L7X V6...

Turbocharged L7X from a Laguna 2 with an auto would suit it I think.

I have a 1995 Laguna V6 & a AD8 auto gearbox that is in perfect condition that would fit in that Espace.
