    Default Dauphine and 4CV parts wanted

    My 4CV has a Dauphine motor and gearbox in it. I'm looking for the following items (or information on where to locate them please):
    a Dauphine clutch cable bracket;
    a Dauphine top radiator hose;
    a 4CV front bonnet locking assembly (lever, lock etc) to suit a '61 4CV. It's not necessary to provide a key - I just need the lever and catch mechanism;
    a 45 degree at the plug end ignition lead (one of my leads is rubbing, and I want to take some preventative maintenance).

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Thanks - I now have the top radiator hose. Still looking for the other items.

    Dauphine clutch cable bracket sorted.
    Dauphine top radiator hose sorted.
    4CV front bonnet locking assembly (probably) sorted.
    Will visit my local auto electrician for the spark plug lead.

    I'm interested if any of these 4CV / Dauphine parts are reproduced items?

    I'll need to find a 4CV boot latch some time among other things.

    To the best of my knowledge, the upper radiator hose is NOS. The Dauphine clutch cable bracket and the 4CV bonnet latch are both parts from older wrecks. I'll just vist my local auto electrician for the angled spark plug lead.

    Melun Retro Passion have a good selection of reproduction parts and body repair panels for the 4CV/Dauphine. I have bought a lot of parts from them over the years and continue to be happy with the service. Best though to get a larger order together, given the cost of freight.

    Engine cover handle with lock.

    Melun Retro Passion haven't responded to the last two emails I've sent them, so I've given up on trying to buy anything more from them. Prior to that, I was happy with their service. I've just had a look at the link you sent (thanks), but I need the front bonnet closer, which doesn't appear to be in their catalogue.

    I bought a new front handle a couple of years ago, but I don't know who from. I thought it was Melun Retro but they don't have a current listing. I buy parts from a few other shops depending on price and availability.

    Try Bretagne Auto Retro these days. http://bretagneautoretro.fr/crbst_46.html My last order took 7 days! Good online catalogue although not good communication. As Alan says, save up a decent order to spread the postage costs.

    I'm not sure what's going on with Melun, but most things I've gone there looking for of late have not been listed.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the link John. That is the bonnet lever I need. I'll give them a try.

    Watch out - the link shown is for the rear ( bonnet ) lock - "arrière" - , you said you were looking for the front

    What I don't know is whether the guts are interchangeable

    Best wishes

    Andrew

    Thanks Andrew for your concern. The one I've bought is the "poignée capot avant".

    Cheers,

    AFAIK they aren't interchangeable, but both avant and arrière are listed.
