That brief article appears to be about the matter Renault referred to the police.

Could be a lot of truth in what she says. If so, it proves that the corrupt officials that existed in Nissan prior to Ghosn's appointment are still there and that corrupt practices engulf the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the rest of the Japanese car industry. So much for democracy.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............

Renault are ramping up plans for a merger with Nissan via a holding company.
Maybe a way of exposing Japanese motivation for Ghosn hijacking if they arc up about it. Interesting times.

    Just speculating -
If Carlos fled japan whilst on bail, and appealed to the European Court of Justice, would he be rearrested by Interpol?.
I suspect he would be crowd funded.

He'd be arrested in a flash. The French police might charge him also. The speculation on this matter is getting ridiculous.

Complex interplay between democratic elections of members of a parliament and the actual process of developing and applying a decent rule of law, habeus corpus etc. AND then making sure things are actually done according to said rules. Then there's culture - our habits with tall poppies and lack of apologies don't mesh too well with not losing face and abject, grovelling apologies. Very interesting and I'm still very glad I'm not CG.

I think you'd be very optimistic about Renault having the slightest interest in exposing anything. CG is gone, long live the King. They need to make money now and continue future development strategies. Neither Nissan nor Renault can afford not to continue their alliance and develop it, both being too small to survive independently I'd suggest.

It'll be a long, long time before we know anything concrete I'd say.

There could be a disconnect between the Japanese CEO and the Board which might be getting some backdoor heat from Macron now.
We might never know in any case.

There's a new post Post near-bankrupcy moans by NISSAN on this forum about Nissan being reluctant to further merger proposals with Renault. Wonder if this is the true reason behind CG and the crap he's in?

Good luck with that, a very ambitious attempt.
While Carlos has multiple citizenships, I think it's just French, Lebanese, and Brazilian, (did he also take out Japanese citizenship).
I don't see that he is or was ever a US citizen.
Carole is not the one currently in gaol so her US citizenship won't help.
