    Default 2018 Captur headlights

Has anybody had any experience with LED headlight bulb replacements?
I would like to try the new Philips H7 LED bulbs but not sure they will
fit under the rubber bung in the back of the headlight housing.
I could replace them with Philips H7 X-treme Vision bulbs as weuse in the Pegeot
but i thought I would try the LED's.
The standard factory H7's are piss poor and the manky yellow light looks incompatible
with the super bright LED DRL's and are piss poor for night driving on our country roads.

I have never seen a conversion in a halogen design get the focus right. If the reflector isn't designed for LED you could fail a roadworthy.

    Hi seasink )
Would that explain why lots of cars with super bright headlights blind you when they are coming towards you in the city ?? It is about time they had a crackdown on dodgey dangerous aftermarket lights ! IMHO
    Jaahn
Also 4WDs with 'chipped' diesels that spew black smoke away from the lights !! Start testing for ADR compliance and make some real money in fines !

Interesting....yes, I agree with ill fitting and poorly designed products.
I was reading some interesting info on the Philips site, a very trusted name in lighting
and apparently thy have spent a lot of time and money designing modern lighting systems.
Their modern LED globes have a very precise cut off according to their literature.
They are even making adjustable ones so that the focal point point in the globe
can be adjusted to match the OEM's

There is a lot of cheap junk out there to impress the oiks and bogans who don't know or really care
how the lights are fitted....so long as they're bright and purple.
