    Default Dauphine panels

    Hi,
spotted some panels and possible bumpers in the back of a junk shop in Reservoir.
this is an old shop on the corner of Edwardes St and Banbury Rd Reservoir Vic and even though I've driven past for many years I have never ventured inside. It looks to be a repository for deceased estates with stuff stacked to the ceiling inside and out. All kinds of rubbish but as they say "one man's trash..."
i know nothing about Renaults but the shape of the panels and the the chrome spelling out Dauphine got my attention. They are stacked up in a pile of other crap barely visible out the back half under cover.
    Good luck treasure hunters!
Ive never even seen the shop open...it looks abandoned... But it was open on the Sunday morning I drove past so maybe weekends only (?) Sorry, I have no other contact details.
    Cheers
    Jim

    Hi Ray,

great, I hope there's something there you can use.
I really just saw them out of the corner of my eye and didn't stop to inspect but knew someone would be keen to look into it.
W.A.? gosh...you're keen. Good to hear the owner is being helpful. Let me know if you're stuck I might be able to swing past and inspect for you.
    Cheers

    Jim

    Paul,
Unfortunately no doors, some stuff I have already earmarked for me but actually a lot of junk scrap as well from the general photos I have received. The doors were what I was mainly after, as the ones on my car were used on the project, and the project doors were rotten. All I got from them were window winders for Sam's A110.

    Paul and other interested parties,

I have backed out of the purchase of some Dauphine parts from Sam at the "Garage Sale Shop". He has some very interesting bits for classic Renault, but I find his prices rather high. An assortment of the pictures sent to me that were of real interest.

And if you are on the ground you will see a lot more stuff that may be of interest.

    Thanks Ray,
I've got a lead for what I need out of Geelong - Plus I've got everyone looking for my box of missing bits. I'll see how all that pans out and then head down to this place if required.
Thanks for the heads up and your investigative work. Much appreciated.
    Cheers...Paul

    How much is expensive?

I could use the dauphine rear panel in #7 if anyone is heading down.

    Thanks,

    David.

I went and visited today and left empty handed. I priced a second hand dented front bumper that needed full restoration and chroming. Price was $150
Then I looked at the bootlid with latch (no key) plus the two door qtr glass ($180)
I offered $100 for the bits I wanted which was negotiated to $200 by Sam.
Nice enough guy but I'm not paying those prices. Somebody probably will when they are in real need.
There also seemed to be Floride or Carravelle panels and dash next to it.
    Cheers...Paul
