    Default Balancing R1135 steel wheels

Need advice on where to have my steel R1135 wheels balanced, preferably in the Newcastle area.
My tyre bloke cant balance because no centre hole.
    Thanks

I think most Bob Jane Tyre Centres have a balance plate

    Hi Ross
I think you will have to ring around or better still drive around and ask at the tire shops. I have had some Citroen mags without center holes done in Newcastle in past times. Some places have a plate with a shaft which they can change for the standard shaft. But some denied they had it or would not bother. Bob Jane Newcastle, and TirePower Wicham were capable then. Could have been others around. They asked for an appointment at a slow time to allow the extra time to change the machine over.. TirePower did not charge extra either when I bought tires there. Bob Jane wanted a large fee to do it. Possible that dealers have bought new ballancers since then ??
Might be worth asking at the newish Peugeot/Citroen dealer who they use for their no hole mags, at Gateshead. Bloody French cars

    Good luck Jaahn

Guy as discovered last month most of the big branded tyre stores traded in their old machine which could cater for no holes wheels for new machines and got $500 trade in for the machine. They weren't told that the new machines needed adapter plates worth $1000 so most did not purchase the adapter. Ring around especially in there is a Pug or Cit dealer near by as I found out. They would have kept the old machine just for us.

Good luck and keep everyone informed as the tyres dealers are getting thin on the ground😢

    Thanks Jaahn,
The Citroen dealer at Gateshead no good. Bob Jane at Kotara did the job.
    Thanks,
