    Default Thinking of Bowie here.

    Hi,

Not sure why but the name Bowie comes up if I see this.

It does say Bowie, however he probably needs a patron or sponsor for that project. If you had the time, I'm sure you could have fun with that one Frans !

    HOLY CRAP!

    It's perfect

Ah man. It's on the wrong continent! but heck! look at that thing!

Frans you have to save this. You just have to, and then sell it to me in 2yrs for double the asking price

Ah having a better understanding of how long everything takes, and how much "bits" are, that's a bloody bargain.

This is the second time a car has come up for sale where I haven't been able to make it happen. The prior was a Gordini converted 12 in QLD, I think it was $3,500 at the time 2yrs ago.

Ah man just imagine that in the Sports Sedans fields.

Looking at that rear panel, that could have that actually been a "Gordini" once upon a time?

To think there won't be much change from $2k by the time I put a half cage in my turd.

You are only paying half price for the dry sump pump setup and the rest of the car and all the mechanical bits are being handed over for free. I am even tempted.

God I didn't even notice that.

Yes there are a lot of bits there.

I appreciate that extra beam to hang the rear suspension too. Heck a set of coil overs is 2k.

Ah this pains me. Someone save it, I'm getting married in May next year, I don't have disposable income right now.

    Those rear fenders (hubba hubba)

Yes, there are a few good bits in there. I see a button clutch as well. There are something special about the top of the sleeves that I can not figure out. It looks like it has been recessed or something like that.

How about a rain check on the wedding?

Ahhh this is of course, what I imagine every 12 owner thinks when they squint through the blinds looking at their car as the sun sets.

    Unfair!

I believe the recess on the sleeves is related to head sealing for running the turbo with a lot of boost.

Ah yes I see, it looks as if some has stepped the ends haven't they.

I should also draw your attention to the standard lower control arms. Camber... Pfff factory is where it's at

Frans, you are the closest. You simply must

Just for others who are sitting on the fence with import costs, speaking to chaps at work who got excited about Sports Sedans, they reckon 3k is probably what it will end up costing for a car that is in pieces.

So, $5k and you bring a gearbox, then you make all the Bowie's in the world very very envious. That's a lot of envy.

Well you had me looking when you said the "G" word.
They never made a RHD Gordini, all the RHD cars here have been converted and looking at the shots of the fire wall there are no plated up holes where the LHD steering column would have been so no I don't think it's a Gordini shell.
