Yeah so would I. Both TL and TS/Gordini only had a silver diamond as pictured.

The car was owned by the dealer. The only pic I could find was a gordini one with a silver outside. I haven't looked closly but it looks original

That is a genuine Renault badge but not for a R17. That is from an older Renault from the 1960's

And it looks way to small for the grill.
Do you need a 17 front badge? I've been collecting a lot of stuff

No the car is only good for parts really really rusty. I got it for the door mechs for my lotus europa and a spare trans motor. The rest of the car isnt needed. I know it sounds a bit brutal but the car is in really poor shape.

Are any of the following salvageable? I’m chasing a couple of odds and ends if you’re willing to post them down to Melbourne.

    Boot light if unbroken

Number plate light (actually just need the base if it’s not too corroded)

Passenger side rear window seal (mine is split in the usual spot)

On the off chance it is a late car, the wiper switch (where the lever twists)

    Cheers!

The R17 boot light looks very much like an R12 one which would follow the parts bin mentality of Renault.

I'm chasing a boot latch and probably a few other bits and bobs since it's fate is a parts car.

Would save me hassling Dave everytime I am in Melbourne and not taking it of his

Jeremy / Jensen that's a lovely color, is that new paint?

I do have lots of doubles of things, and a 15TL that's so rusty it's likely to suffer the same fate

Yes Col the R17's have R12 style boot and rear floor lights that are the same. I also like the colour of your car Jensen. I took the 17 TS out for a spin today and it does have some get up and go. Of course it would be beaten off the lights by a modern hot hatch but still sounds great with the twin Webers sucking up lungs full of air. More nice noise than a hot hatch, that sounds like your really accelerating faster than you probably are. Still I want to restore my other R17 with injection. I like original whenever possible.

Thanks great to know it is a shared part with R12s in case Davedeece can’t assist.

Vivid/Sunroof, yes it’s a bare metal respray (457 blue) but I’m embarrassed to say it’s now 10 years old so not quite new! Career, marriage, kids and house renovations have slowed the reassembly process. Now back in full swing (car is back at my house) and have spent the last week sorting the electrics. Everything works bar the wipers.

Very much looking forward to taking it for a drive by years end.

I've bought them from R12 shop. Also suit the rear ashtray in the backseat. LOL
The two courtesy ones in the roof lining are the one's I can't find

Look up Comptoir de la Carrosserie as they have those door rubbers listed. I have not purchased from them but worth looking at.

piecesrenaultvintage66.com have repair kits for r15/17 boot locks as well as new locks for the same. Freight costs more than the locks sadly.

Well, the 15/17 were released in '71 so a couple might have made the badge?

Shoji do you need the recessed rectangular ones or the earlier style? I can help with the latter.
