Default Replace Body Control Module in Clio Sport 172

Hi all, my 2003 Clio Sport 172 central locking and windscreen wipers don't work. An Auto Electrician has advised that the fault leads back to the BCM. I have a spare car, but am not sure if changing the the units over will work. Do they need to be reprogrammed? If yes, can you advise someone in the Brisbane area who could complete the reprogram for me.

Also, has anyone else experienced these problems and found a solution?

    Many thanks.

I don't know if the Renault BCM is similar to the CIT/PUG BSI which is individual to every vehicle so requires more than just programming.
Did said sparky say it was a relay issue in the fuse box or the body computer was not sending correct signals?

The UCH (as it's called) is linked to the ECU and the immobiliser, so replacing the UCH will mean new keys as well. From the dealer, keys are over $500 each. Third-party keys are $250. Don't bother buying from eBay because the programming of blank keys is not DIY (as far as I can determine).

There is somebody in the UK that refurbishes UCHs. I had immobiliser problems recently which turned out to be problems with both my keys. (The keys were fixed by re-flowing the solder on all the components on the circuit board inside the remote.)

I had to replace the ECU on a lesser 1.4L 2003 Clio recently. Yes you will need to replace the ECU, BCU and the electronic part of the key. I think I paid $250 for the set from a wrecker. All is well now. The body control unit was to the left side of the glove box.

So the question is the spare car the same model and features as this is where programming will be required is you swap UCH and ECU plus key remotes over will be required.
Are your sure the wiper stalk isn't faulty?
