    Default F/S R10 Project Car !!!!

I have come across a very good R10, that is in stalled restoration mode.

This is for somebody who is in serious R10 restoration mode. The body is in good straight condition with some small dents. It has some small surface rust, and needs full body stripping and treatment before paint to prevent the surface rust spreading. Seats are recovered well, but rear base needs a bit of attention. Floors are very minimal rust, and require treatment not repair. Motor requires a complete rebuild, as does the braking system. Gearbox requires full treatment with clean and seals. Only real work is replacing the part repaired water drain in front boot floor.

Price $500. It will not be sold to strip for spares, as it is too good. If interested, PM me with phone number, I will take you to the car (in Perth), and you can see for self.

One possible taker really, really wants an R8. I tried..... I guess we could try and persuade him to "R8-ify" it, but that isn't what he's after doing I imagine.

That's so good compared to BARNIE my barn find. If I bought this R10 I'd have it registered in 3 months, very easy job.
Don't worry, I'm not thinking of it, BARNIE will make it providing I last out

Ah geez, wrong side of the country... I'd do this up as a bit of a rat rod - just seal the surface to stop rust, not paint or repair it.

Put a Clio IV 3 cylinder turbo in it

Don't worry about the distance Haakon, you need it. And we need a 3 cylinder turbo R10 thread too

Ah maaaaaaaan would be a shame to cut it up.

If anyone is worried about storing it, I have a "large yard" where it could live under a tarp for a "while" I promise not to fall in love with it and proposition it from you in 12 months...

Gecko, how far away from being driveable is it?

Could a spirited soul from over east hope to get it up and running for a road trip home?

There might be a suitable motor in these parts that could be had for not much at all. If the car could get as far as Gero there’s a shed with lots of tools and some Renault spares you might need... just saying.

Also a Pug 407 TDI in my yard that is close to its last journey too.

Hope you get the "right" new owner Ray, that will coax this car back on the road, seems too good to scrap, it needs better than that...

Good to hear. It looks pretty straight. If it were to be wrecked, I'd queue up to pay for the doors but very reluctantly.....

Excellent you have found a place for it.
