Read all the ad and still confused.
Is he selling bits, the whole car, or both.
Is the $20 for all the parts or for each piece.
$2000 for the motor and gear box (with the car still attached?)

The car has an Aussiefrogs sticker so the car has to be worth it.

Yeah well it wasn't knocking around then now was it.

I'm still getting a hang of this "everything is old you will be replacing everything eventually" reality.

But back to a tasty fresh R16. I'd get married in that thing I would.

I will let you into a little secret Bowie, If you are going to keep your R12 long term get a spare of everything, eventually you will use it.

What I have done is grab stuff as it comes up where ever (ebay, Gumtree, local paper etc) especially if it is cheap and just stash it in the shed, there is nothing worse than being held up waiting for some small part.

It also works out cheaper in the long run that shipping small parts from across the country.

I use to buy whole cars and dismantle them, keeping the good bits and scrapping the rest. I also use to sell off my excess parts but that market has well and truly shrunk over the years.

    Hi RenTT,
I got shat on by him as I only read the first part, $20, offered him $100, and was told I was insulting him. We are not on the best of terms as it is already. It is "renaultmark". And the motor is not "fully reconditioned" as it only has new bearings and rings, all the rest, of a cooked motor, is good used parts. Box has new seals and has been cleaned inside. Car is a good car but needs mechanical TLC. Assembled properly will get a certificate for registration, as it was before.

I'm not a buyer at any price (too far away) but if the body and trim is good and it's just mechanical bits that need sorting then I would be a good buy if the price is right.
However, I must be going senile but I can't see where in the ad there is a price for the car.
The only prices I can recall was $20 (for what part or parts??) and $2000 for the motor and gear box.
So if it's offered with 'a fully reconditioned motor and gearbox seals done' what mechanical TLC does it need, suspension, cooling system, brakes?
